MEYSEN ACADEMY > GREETING
We believe that children are amazing!
Young people have a remarkable potential to learn, to understand, and to creatively apply to their lives what they experience and discover as they grow. At MeySen Academy, we have the privilege to help students discover their potential and to enrich their lives by filling every school day with opportunities for new language, expression, comprehension, communication, exercise, and laughter … knowing that each teachable moment can become an experience that shapes their lives and success.
We believe learning encompasses all five senses. Whether in the classroom or on the playground, we believe that our teachers serve not only as role models to their students and parents, but as nurturers of their souls.
Chairman, Board of Regents
But where can wisdom be found?
Where does understanding dwell?
It cannot be bought with the finest gold,
nor can its price be weighed out in silver.
God understands the way to it
and he alone knows where it dwells,
And he said to man,
“The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom,
and to shun evil is understanding.”
(taken from Job 28, NIV)
All of us, in our daily lives, must continuously distinguish good from evil. I fear God and I believe in his son, Jesus Christ, and the truths he revealed to mankind. Here at MeySen Academy, as we work together to educate these children, our aim is that all of our decisions will be based upon the righteous commands of God as they are written in the Bible.
Chairman, Board of Regents, Mr. John Broman
Our schools have several special characteristics: a beautiful, natural environment; a wide variety of animals for the children to interact with; an English education program tailored to give young children an early start; and above all, the guidance of the Bible in all our endeavors.
Of all that we hope to teach the children, we consider honesty, obedience and diligence as most important. Also, in keeping with our school motto "Mercy and Truth,” we want the children to learn compassion toward others, and truthfulness before God.
The Bible teaches us to "train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.(Proverbs 22:6)"
We will seek God's help, and with the parents’ cooperation and support,
our entire staff will focus their efforts to train and instruct the children in the way they should go.
